No one can say he doesn't need forgiveness from his sin; for all must come to Christ by faith to have new life within.

Food For Thought

"Man does not live on bread alone,

but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."

                                                                                                                                    Matthew 4:4

Jesus quoted these words when He was tempted by Satan while He fasted in the desert for 40 days just prior to the commencement of His ministry.

Later, in John 6:48 He tells us, "I am the bread of life", and goes on to say in v51, "If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."

People need to eat bread (food) every day to satisfy their physical hunger. While this bread sustains our physical life, people today are also hungry in their spirits.

Jesus, the Bread of Life, gives us spiritual life, and He helps us grow in our lives as Christians.

We can satisfy spiritual hunger and sustain spiritual life only by a right relationship with Jesus Christ. No wonder He called himself the Bread of Life.

But bread must be eaten to sustain life, just as Christ must be invited into our daily walk to sustain spiritual life.

Through Jesus we can have the Bread of Life; through Him we can also have eternal life even though we do not deserve it. God has made eternal life possible for every person through His Son.

Let us thank God for the Bread of Life., who satisfies the hunger in our souls.
