"Your call to salvation included your call to service. Regardless of your job or career, you are called to full-time Christian service. A 'non-serving' Christian is a contradiction in terms."
Rick Warren, The Purpose Driven Life

It Just Doesn't Add Up!

The First Fleet arrived in Australia at Botany Bay between 18th & 20th January 1788, and comprised 11 ships with 1,487 people including 778 convicts.

In the 220 years since, Australia’s population has grown to around 22 million people. This represents a population doubling rate of around 16 years.

If aborigines have been around for 40,000 years, and assuming the ridiculous population doubling rate of 1,000 years, Australia’s population today would be:

  Years                         Population

         0                                  2

  1,000                                 4

  2,000                                 8

  3,000                               16

  4,000                               32

  5,000                               64

  6,000                             128

  7,000                             256

  8,000                             512

  9,000                           1,024

10,000                           2,048

20,000                    2,100,000

23,000                  16,800,000

              (current Australian population 22,000,00)

24,000                   33,500,000

31,000             4,295,000,000

             (current world population around 6,700,000,000)

32,000              8,590,000,000

40,000       2,220,000,000,000   (2 trillion, 220 billion)

So where is the evidence?

Given the area of Australia = 7,692,030 sq.km., this means that there should be 288,611 people (or skeletons) for every sq.km.

Population since Adam & Eve

The current world population doubling rate is around 61 years (peaked at 35 years in the 1960’s).

If our population began with just two people (Adam & Eve as the Bible tells us) and assuming an average population doubling rate of 200 years, the current world’s population would be reached after around 6,300 years. This figure fits almost perfectly with the age of the earth as deduced by the infallible chronology of the Bible.

To be more correct the figures should be taken from the time of Noah and the ark (around 2300 BC), because he and his family were the only ones left after The Flood.
