"… every Christian is called to service. Your call to salvation included your call to service. Regardless of your job or career, you are called to full-time Christian service. A 'non-serving Christian' is a contradiction in terms."
Neanderthal Man
I remember hearing and reading at school in my History classes about Neanderthal Man, and seeing artists impressions of what he may have looked like (typically ape-like, with lots of hair, and wielding a club).
Back then, in the absence of any reason to believe otherwise, I accepted as fact that we were all a product of evolution, and therefore there were always going to be bones discovered to support this “theory”.
Even after I came to Christ in 1994 I felt there was room for both evolution and creation to exist in harmony.
But now, as a true believer in the truth of God’s infallible Word through the Bible, there is no room whatsoever to accept, or even consider, any other alternative than creation (see Old Earth vs Young Earth).
Following is from an article on “Ape-to-human transitional forms” from the latest Creation magazine produced by Creation Ministries International.
Neanderthal Man
This was the name given to bones found in 1856 in Germany’s Neander valley. Despite early reconstructions giving it a brutish, ape-man appearance, Neanderthal Man is now commonly regarded as a variety or race of Homo sapiens.
Recent DNA evidence has confirmed that Neanderthals even interbred with ‘moderns’.

False early depiction of Neanderthal.
In 1957, anthropologists William Straus and A.J.E.Cave reassessed the evidence and said that if a Neanderthal “could be reincarnated and placed in a New York subway – provided that he were bathed, shaved and dressed in modern clothing, it is doubtful whether he would attract any more attention than some of its other denizens."
