Old Earth vs Young Earth

Many of us have heard about the Evolution vs Creation debate, where “evolutionists” believe the world is billions of years old (most say 4.5 billion years), and that man evolved over a very long period of time from apes.

“Creationists” on the other hand believe that God created the heavens and the earth, and that the evidence for the age of Creation, and therefore the earth, can be found in the Bible.

Most Creationists would be Christians, but unfortunately there are many Christians who, while believing in Creation, prefer to adopt a view that the Six Days of Creation as laid down in Genesis Chapter 1 is not a literal six days. In doing so they are casting doubt upon the accuracy of the Bible, and therefore putting themselves above God’s Word.

This Evolution vs Creation debate can also be referred to as the Old Earth vs Young Earth debate. In other words, “Is the earth billions of years old, or thousands of years young?”

We at Wings As Eagles believe in the 100% truthfulness, or infallibility, of the Bible.

However it is not our intention to try to convince those who may still have some doubt about this, but to simply encourage you to keep your mind open to the truth that you not only should, but can rely on the total infallibility of God’s Word.
