BREAKING NEWS!!!

Following an interview with an immigration official in Sydney on Thursday 06 May, (which we didn't think went particularly well because Deborah was in tears most of the time), against all odds Deborah has been granted Australian permanent residency status. She can apply for Australian citizenship in four years time (the mandatory residency period required).

We did not expect her "refugee status" application to succeed, and were preparing for the next step in what was expected to be a long, drawn out battle (we were told up to four years). Even our solicitor (a non-believer) was taken completely by surprise; his first words to us when he broke the news were, "You three must have some incredible prayer support!

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers over many years, leading to this successful outcome.
